این لیست از جایزه بهترین بازی سال (GOTY) تا بهترین بازی‌های eSport، بهترین کارگردانی، بهترین عناوین ادامه‌دار، بهترین بازی‌های Indie، و چندین دسته بندی دیگر را شامل می‌شود. اما آن دسته بندیی که همه به آن چشم دوخته‌اند لیست بهترین بازی‌های سال است.

همانطور که انتظار می‌رفت بعضی بازی‌ها مسلما در این لیست حضور دارند مثل آخرین بازی Rockstar، عنوان Red Dead Redemption 2، عنوان انحصاری Sony، بازی God of War و بازی فوق العاده استودیو Insomniacs، مرد عنکبوتی همگی در این لیست حضور دارند. اما عناوینی نیز هستند که بودنشان در این لیست سوال برانگیز و تعجب اور بود. برای مثال حضور بازی Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey با این که دور از انتظار نبود اما شاید جایی هم در این لیست نداشت و حضور عنوان Celeste ساخته شرکت Matt Makes Games تعجب برانیگز بود. حال باید دید که کدام یک از این بازی‌ها این جایزه را با خود به خانه می‌برد، نظر شما در این باره چیست؟
